A Sudden Shower

A sudden shower
Has kicked
my senses into life.
Lilac candles
Round the open door
And step by step
Winter ending Daphne
Fill the house
With finest fragrance
Dance along the sunbeam
Scented open hall,
A silent echo
Of my past,
Empty and alone
Beneath a pale blue,
Frosted Friday sky.
