How

I love

Slow summer evenings where
Shadows slip along the lake
Fall down valleys
And sneak behind the hills.

Here on the shore
That palest greenish sheen
Forms the watercolour wash
To the rising Venus.

And how

The shrimper courts the horizon
Its faintest chug urges us to peer.
There see !  Its stumpy silhouette
Crawls against  the tween light mist.

And then

The sun dips
Into a mirrored sea.
Below a crescent moon.
