Exultavit

 At vespers yesterday
The Magnificat of Palestrina
And through the cantors  chant
The nave proclaims
Exultavit spiritus meus.

Light and vision comes
Through the shadows
To trace a blessing
On our hearts.
To gather up
Our smiles and tears 
And dull the creeping edge of fears.
