Among the Geraniums

Cooing collared doves
Through the chimney,

Sunshine smiles
On lilies in the field,

Blood red poppies 
By the harvest mown.

Fuchsia ballerinas
On the backyard fence.

Summer on the doorstep
In bits and pieces,

High cloud 
Not serious but Sirius.

Time for a seat
Among the geraniums.
