Epiphany

Stella Maris

This evening
In the soft blue
Of twilight,
High,
So high above
The ebbing tide,
A bright star,
Resplendent
In its solitude,
The clearest
Diamond solitaire
The queen of heaven
Might  wear,
Stella Maris
To set your
Sail by
And me to ponder
The coming of the kings.

Written yesterday as a personal poem for regular correspondents it was so well received  that I have decided to share it.
